Is The DubTurbo Beat Making Software Any Good? Real Users DubTurbo Review!
Do you like this story?
There was a lot of hype surrounding the new DubTurbo beat making software. So I decided to purchase the software and review it.
I'm a fully qualified sound engineer and have been mixing beats and producing jungle/ drum and bass since my teens. Safe to say I have passion for urban and underground music.
So the DubTurbo beat making software.
What is all the hype? Is it as good as it claims to be?
Firstly the main component of the software that sets it apart from its competition is the fact that it is a DAW (digital audio workstation) that has plenty of features and functions, likened to an amateur studio.
The DubTurbo creators claim that the software has many features and functions as a full studio for a fraction of the cost!
That's a bit of a far-fetched claim.
The software is full of features and there's a huge variety of samples for you to play around with, but the software is limited to a full recording studio, which is in direct reflection with the price difference.
Another point to consider when using such beat making equipment is your sound system!
DubTurbo is only as good as a sound system will let it be. As you will be running DubTurbo from your laptop or p.c/ mac, then you'll need to invest in a good surround sound system for your computer or perhaps you could run the laptop through separates which you already have.
That's what I do. I use more advanced music creation software such as Logic and Reason and then run through amps and separate speakers through my laptop.
